Rudimch Enterprise GBL: Shark Attack halts Neco, 80-70

Team Palau Pacific Resort (PPR) Shark Attack managed to survive to score a come from behind win over a tough team Neco, 80-70 Friday night in the ongoing 2012 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

PPR Shark Attack felt Neco meant business as the latter pressured on their main gunner Dennis Castro from the opening tip off as they logged behind 23-16. PPR Shark Attack they made adjustment as they surged a 26-14 run in the second canto to gain the upper hand and close the first half with a 42-37 lead.

PPR Shark Attack did not abandon their teammate as they aided Castro, who broke away from defenders to lead in the scoring department. With Castro on the loose, PPR Shark Attack continued its offensive as they went on to score the win. Despite the tight defense on him, Castro managed to finish the game with 26 points as teammate Joeger Supnet added 11.

Neco’s big man Kent Moore topscored for them with 20 markers as they suffered their second loss for a 0-2 card in the team standings.

In other games, Sam’s Sharks devoured PPR Stingrays, 78-64; Team ABC bested MOE Spiders, 69-68; Galaxy Builders won over PRR Dragons, 72-66; PNCC Molekoi defeated MPIIC, 88-85.

Games will resume tonight with Surangel and Sons versus Fish and Fins Hunters at 6 p.m. followed by the Mason’s Hardware-Sam’s Shark tussle at 7:30 p.m. while PRR Dragons will take on Neco in the main game at 9 p.m.

Tomorrow’s matches will have Team ABC against PNCC Molekoi at 6 p.m. as MOE II will meet MOE Spiders at 7:30 p.m. while Surangel and Sons will face Mason’s Hardware at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matches will feature PPR Stingrays taking on PRR Dragons at 6 p.m. as Galaxy Builders will meet Fish and Fins Hunters at 7:30 p.m. while Neco will test WCTC in the main game at 9 p.m.
