Team Palau leaves for MYBT 17 and Under
Team Palau is set to leave on May 19 in time for the opening ceremony of the men’s and women’s 17 and Under Western Division of the Micronesia Youth Basketball Tournament which will be held in CNMI.
The team will be coached by Ziske Asanuma with Jose Meltel as assistant coach. It is composed of RB Dorado, Marvic Ngchar, Ray Rdialul, Luke Wilter, Cullen Carlson, Shonty Ubedei, Medermel Yaoch, O’brein Ngemaes, Edward Baysa, Tavon Borja, Cody Rorer and Keene Isao.
Team Palau will see action in the tournament which will be from May 21 to 26. The team is set to leave on May 19 in time for the technical meeting and a day of practice before the start of the competition. Aside from Palau, also seeing action are teams from Guam and host CNMI.
The team is supported by President Johnson Toribiong, Etpison Cup, The Filipino Community in Palau (TFCP), Palau Shipping, Surangel and Sons and Palau Royal Resort. By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
