4x4 Wheelers nail 6th win in IP&E NBL

Amateur Basketball League runner up 4x4 Wheelers has gone havoc as they scored their sixth straight victory in the ongoing 2012 season of the IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) at the Palau National gym.

Team 4x4 Wheelers defeated team Islanders, 74-70 to stretch their winning ways to 6-1 in the team standings. Yutaka Gibbons Jr. and Russel Roman paced 4x4 Wheelers with identical 19 points while Frankie Kuchad led the Islanders with 17 on the losing cause.

With the lost, the Islanders sport a 3-3 win-loss record.

In other games, FR Spoilers won over Meda, 91-69; 4x4Wheelers bested Mercury Optimax, 95-84; and Peched Raw defeated Kabong, 92-65.

Games will resume tonight with Nationals 17 and Under versus Aqua Smooth at 6 p.m. while FR Spoilers will meet Melengoes at 9 p.m. Tomorrow night games will have Peched Raw taking on Meda at 7:30 p.m. as Islanders will face Mercury Optimax at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matches will feature 4x4 Wheelers against Melengoes at 6 p.m. as Mercury Optimax will be pitted against Surangel Kings at 9 p.m.
