Spoilers, Choppers meet rivals in FBL Sunday

Defending champions FR Spoilers and team Choppers will try to score separate victories when they collide against rivals, Sunday in the resumption of the 2012 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Sporting a 4-0 win-loss tally in the team standings, the defending champions FR Spoilers will gun for its fifth win and keep its clean record when they face a winless Rams/Guardians squad at 2 p.m.

Set to pace the Spoilers are Michael Bombita, Mark Pagayanan, Aries Echanova, Coco Gonzales, Michael Garcia and George Bernardo while Rams/Guardians (0-5) will rely on its line up composed of the father and son tandem of Pons and Jake Mahor, John Ronald Grapa, Jojo Cervantes, Junie Samantina and Clinton Rivera.

On the other hand, fresh from their conquer against the Ilocandia Bulls last weekend, team Choppers gun for its fourth win when they face a tough MJ Rangers in the main game at 3:30 p.m.

Team Choppers (3-1) will again rely on the performances of Bon-Bon Pramo, PJ Esguerra, Ronald Reyes, Rey Potot, Erwin Gonzalgo, Eric Dedeles and Lito Cruzat while the MJ Rangers will try to use their height advantage as they will bank on brothers Jay and Joemar Naguit, Nico Hinoza, Rodel Ramos, Michael Guevarra with veterans Jimmy Domingo and Cid Aquino.

In other games, D’Originals will face anews Ocean View at 11 a.m. in the Master’s League followed by the Jaguars-Surangel and Sons tussle at 12:30 p.m.
