4x4 Wheelers top Meda, 74-68 in NBL

Team 4x4 Wheelers scored its second win at the expense of Meda, 74-68 in the ongoing 2012 season of the IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 22-21 lead, 4x4 Wheelers kept its composure to maintain the lead to sail away with the win. Yutaka Gibbons Jr. topscored for 4x4 Wheelers with 22 points while Temol added 21 as they now take a 2-1 win-loss record in the team standings.

Joshua Kloulubak topscored for Meda with 13 as they suffered their second setback for a 2-2 tally.

In other games, FR Spoilers won over Islanders, 72-71; and Aqua Smooth drubbed Surangel Kings, 108-48.

Games resume tonight with Islanders versus Peched Raw at 6 p.m. followed by Meda against Mercury Optimax at 9 p.m. Wednesday night games will have Spoilers taking on 4x4 Wheelers at 7:30 p.m. as Surangel Kings will meet Melengoes at 9 p.m.

Thursday night will feature Peched Raw against Aqua Smooth at 6 p.m. while Meda will meet Surangel Kings in the main game at 9 p.m.
