2011 Rudimch Government/Business League: MOF Omsangel leads teams in semifinal round

Government division champions Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel lead three other teams to the semifinal round of the Season finals of the 2011 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

MOF Omsangel is the only Government division team to barge into the semis after beating the SDA Crusaders, 73-63 Tuesday night. MVP contender John Stills led the cause for MOF Omsangel with 30 points while teammate Sunshine Soalablai added 21.

MOF Omsangel will meet Fish and Fins Hunters, who claimed a semis spot after besting Neco, 92-61.

On the other hand, team Spoilers used their speed to their advantage as they drubbed MPIIC, 92-69. The game was halted Tuesday night because of the power outage with the score at 77-66 with 5:11 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The game resumed Wednesday night with the Spoilers continuing their deadly offensive line of Michael Bombita and Leonilo Gonzales. Bombita paced the Spoilers with 42 points while Gonzales chipped in 26 meanwhile Johnboy and Russell Roman topscored for MPIIC with identical 17 markers, respectively.

With the win, the Spoilers will face Mason’s Hardware, which took a semis seat with their 90-82 victory over PPR Shark Attack.

The semis matches of the Season finals are still playing as of this writing. The winners will move on to the best of three championship series while the losers will face off for third place honors.
