Originals, Ocean View/PCGM continues winning ways

Defending champion team Originals and Ocean View/PCGM continued its winning ways after beating respective rivals last weekend in the ongoing Master’s Basketball League at the Palau High School gym.

Bulky Sonny Jacinto muscled his way into the paint as he topscored with 21 points to power the Originals past the ECC Eagles, 89-74. The win gave the Originals a cushion in the team standings as they are now 9-1 while Manuel Mahor topscored for the Eagles with 26 as they now sport a 5-6 record.

On the other hand, Ocean View/PCGM also nailed its 9th straight victory at the expense of Jive Restaurant, 86-68. Ricky Erese topscored for Ocean View/PCGM with 15 markers as they continue to top the team standings with a 9-1 tally while Nonoy Deala scored 31 markers but was not enough to pull through for Jive Restaurant as they are now 4-6.

In other games, PPR All Stud won over WCTC Power Ball, 67-55.

Games will resume on Sunday with Ocean View/PCGM versus WCTC Power Ball at 12 noon as Panahon Ko I2 will face PPR All Stud at 2 p.m. while the Originals will take on Jive Restaurant in the main game at 3:45 p.m.
