Rudimch Government/Business League: MOF Omsangel nails 4th win as Dollar 99 scores 1st

Government Division contender Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel and Dollar 99 nailed contrasting victories against respective opponents Wednesday night in the ongoing 2011 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

John Stills unloaded a career high 40 points to lead MOF Omsangel to its fourth straight victory at the expense of PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax, 83-76. Stills and the rest of MOF Omsangel gained control of the game from the opening quarter after taking a 21-15 lead.

From there it was all MOF Omsangel as they went on to take the win for a 4-0 win-loss record. Stills’ performance was backed up by Weston who added 21 while Ziske Asanuma led the chores for PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax with 22 on the losing end.

On the other hand, after failing three times team Dollar 99 finally barged their way into the winning column after beating Sam’s Shark, 72-61. Apu led the scoring fray fro Dollar 99 with 24 baskets while Kane topscored for Sam’s Sharks with 16.

In other games, Spoilers beat Mason’s Hardware, 96-88; Fish and Fins Hunters bested PRR Dragons, 76-48; SDA Crusaders won over Palasia Hotel, 76-64; MOJ Cops downed Koror State Government, 74-67; PPUC Kamik outgunned MOE II, 82-75; and MPIIC defeated PNCC Molekoi, 69-67.

Games will resume tonight with KSG versus MPIIC at 6 p.m. while PPUC Kamik will face MOJ Cops in the main game at 7:30 p.m. Monday’s games will have Justice League against PNN Molekoi at 6 p.m. followed by the MOE Spiders-MOE II match at 7:30 p.m. while Mason’s Hardware will test Dollar 99 in the main game at 9 p.m.
