Ocean View/PCGM, Originals score win Master’s cagefest

Contenders Ocean View/PCGM and team Originals continued their winning ways after beating separate rivals last Sunday, Sept. 4, in the ongoing second conference of the Master’s Basketball League at the Palau High School gym.

Ocean View/PCGM nailed their third win at the expense of team Panahon Ko I2, 86-71. Edwin Acuyan paced Ocean View/PCGM with 18 points as they now sport a 3-1 win-loss record while Fernan de Guzman topscored for Panahon Ko I2 with 15 as they suffered their second loss for a 3-2 card.

On the other hand, the Originals also scored their third win after beating WCTC Power Ball, 93-87. Veteran skipper Jimmy Domingo led the scoring chores for the Originals with 20 markers while Jojo Marino led WCTC Power Ball with 38 on the losing end.

In other games, PPR All Stud humbled ECC Eagles, 84-83.

Games will resume this Sunday, Sept. 11,  with the Originals versus ECC Eagles in the opener at 11 a.m. followed by the Ocean View/PCGM-Jive Restaurant tussle at 1 p.m. while PPR All Stud will meet WCTC Power Ball in the main game at 2:45 p.m.
