Money wins WNBL title

After trailing 8-9 in the first quarter, team Money then used their speed and hustle to take a 10-6 run to close the first half with an 18-15 lead. From there, team Money never looked back as they maintained their lead and went on for the win.

Sesengel Ketebengang led the scoring chores for team Money with 15 points while teammate Tara added 12 as Sweety also had 15 for Sam’s Kryptonite who settled for the runners-up honors.

Team Money closed the series with a 2-0 count. Trophies were awarded to the winners immediately after the championship game.

In the consolation game, Bring It On won over Smooth Riders, 58-48.

The tournament sanctioned by the Palau Basketball Federation and is a tobacco, alcohol and drug free program.
