WNBL - Money takes last finals seat
Team Money took the last finals seat as they beat Smooth Riders, 59-46 in Game Two of their best-of-three semifinals of the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) last April 28 at the Palau National gym.
Team Money closed their series with a 2-0 count. Money meant business as they took a 28-16 lead at the close of the first half and from there never looked back to sail for the win.
Tara led the scoring clutches for team Money with 15 points while Charm topscored for Smooth Riders with 12.
With the win, team Money will meet Sam’s Kryptonite for a best-of-three championship series while Smooth Riders will face Bring It On for the consolation game.
The tournament sanctioned by the Palau Basketball Federation and is a tobacco, alcohol and drug free program. All violators will be banned from participating.
