MBC PRESIDENT VISITS PALAU

Mr Isotoff took time out from his busy work schedule to meet with "Topps" and Bill to be brought up to date on the recent MBC meeting and the Micronesian Games.

He was enthused about the changes to the Micronesian basketball tournaments and especially the introduction of the younger age groups for 15 years and under and 17 years and under.  Mr Isotoff believes that the new tournaments for these younger age groups will lead each MBC country to develop more at the younger ages, therefore building the numbers playing basketball around the region.

As is always the case with former basketball players, part of the discussions got around to past performances by these 3 in previous Micronesian basketball events.  It seems that you can take the player out of basketball but you cannot take basketball out of the player, as we learned that Len has recently returned to playing in the Guam Masters League.

A number of new intiatives were discussed by these 3 basketball stalwarts to further develop basketball within the Micronesian Region and these will be put forward to members in the future.   All agreed that the future of basketball in Micronesian is looking good with all the recent changes introduced.
