NBDO Workshop in Australia April 6th to April 21st, 2013

The first week in Coffs Harbour will see the NBDO's go through a number of theory sessions such as beginners coaching course, level 0 referees course, how to put a budget together, how to put a proposal together to gain funding just to name a few. They will also plan a Primary Schools Gala Day and run the event on the last day of the school term. We have had a  number of schools contact us to be a part of the event which will make the event a success.

The second week in Sydney will be an eye opener for the NBDO's as they will see basketball played at every level from, school holiday fun camps, domestic, rep, TAP, NITP, State, Waratah League and Wheelchair basketball. They will also meet a number of coaches and administrators that will give them insight as to how these programs are run and things that have been a success and things that haven't.

We will also have guest speakers talk to them about the development pathways for both our players and our coaches which I'm sure will give the NBDO's idea's they can take away with them.

Annie La Fleur the new Zone Development Manager for FIBA Oceania who supervisers the NBDO's said "this will be a wonderful experience for the NBDO's and I hope they go back to their countries with a lot of new ideas of how they can improve their programs".
