Leona Star reports on Nauru Island Basketball...

Leona Star from Nauru Basketball responds to FIBA Oceania Secretary General.

Secretary General Smith:  What happened to the referee and coach education materials sent to the Federation last year?

Leona Star: Well we recieved the USB flash drive and due [to] no funds, we were not able to conduct a workshop for the interested people ..... so what I did was inform the interested people to come to my office and see what was on the USB which was good because there were more than 5 people that came in and also expecting more to come in....but will update you.

Sec Gen: What's happening with the NIBA?

LS: NIBA is trying to elect a new executive because we need to move on!
Some people on the executive list are not active.
I have more basketball volunteers that are helping me organise and run the tournaments.

Competition Activities: We just had a school break holiday basketball round robin for the under 16's which was successful we had more than 10 teams.
We are also volunteering in the schools, doing basic skills for the children.
There are two schools that have approved us and its been going on for a month now.
Mondays and Wednesdays for Nauru College and Tuesdays and Thursdays for Nauru Primary School.

Use of the NIBA Website: I would really like to upload the photos on the website but still cannot upload them.  I am hoping to get in touch with Dmoinic Cain so that he can get the photos on the website.
