CalVOTEnorio Win Women's Division in Gatorade/Monster League
CalVOTEnorio surprised spectators on Guam when they won the women's division. They came from behind and forced the IF game to win in overtime. While the Guamanian Women's Nationals were the favorite in the women's division, they did not easily give up. It was an exciting game, drawing more fans than any other game in either the women's or men's division.
The Nationals went undefeated in the regular season and easily advanced in the winner's bracket. While the Elite had to advance in the loser's bracket to get another chance to fight for the Title - and they came out victorious in overtime. Thanks to Elite's Celine Cruz's short jumper, the score tied at 57. Each team went on scoring sprees until the game was once again tied at 62 with under 10 seconds left on the clock. Elite's Charity San Agustin knocked down an easy short jumper to end the game.
