Raiwaqa Basketball Championship favorites Grantham and Spoward continue their fine performance at the Easter Basketball competition currently underway at the Raiwaqa Basketball Court.

Last week’s Men’s runner’s up Grantham won their first pool game as they defeated Jazz 41-24 this morning.

Some of the star players in the Grantham team include Jonathan Kunau, Victor Komainavure and Apisalome Lutuciri.

Spoward will take on Milvert this afternoon.

In the women’s competition, the Kainimoli sisters helped the Cross Roads team beat Davui Magic 39-19 with Tiyana, Donnin and Esdelle Kainamoli all played a crucial role in their win.

In other results, Davui Magic edged Spoward 33-32 while Saint Pius beat Brownies 18-14.

Five women’s and ten men’s teams are participating in this year’s competition at the Raiwaqa Basketball Court with the last pool games and finals to be held next Monday.
