ENORMOUS LOADS OF STUFF !
First we had to find an office ! On Oct. 25th. we had a warning letter about the imminent state of collapse of the roof of the building in which our office is situated - but had been told earlier that we would get "a month's notice" ! Then on Nov. 10th. (only 16 days later) we were told "This is your last day ! After this you stay at your own risk !" We were lucky to have three possibles lined up. A major criterion was "is there enough space ?". Then "how convenient for the Stadium ?" Then "how much is the rent ?" Then "how secure is it ?" We decided that an upstairs room behind an old restaurant would be the best choice. We negotiated with the owner, made and signed an agreement, contacted the Public Utilities (for power) and Telecom (for a 'phone line), and started to move the 5-years accumulation of stuff ! I had had a significant clear-out about a year ago but it was going to take a large number of trips to shift the small stuff. (Have you noticed how heavy books are ?!!) Then we should be able to move all the furniture in one go. But that will be part 2.
