Olympic Team Ready for the Games
Team Palau athletes have settled well at the 2008 Olympic Village in Beijing. The Palau athletes are Peoria Koshiba 100m sprint athletics female, Jesse Tamangrow 100m sprint athletics male, Amber Sikosang Yobech 50m freestyle swimming female, Elgin Tulop Elwais 55kg Wrestling male, and Florian Skilang Temengil 120kg wrestling male.

Basketball Team 2007 Apia Samoa
Only the Men's Basketball Team participated in the 2007 South Pacific Games in Apia Samoa. The Palau Basketball Team members are as follows: Topps Sungino Coach, Burton Wong Asst Coach: Team members: Lyndon Ngiramolau, Ziske Asanuma, Yutaka Gibbons, Jr., Reid Rikrik, Wallace Rikrik, Sunshine Soalablai, JoJo Robert, and Sylverio Tumchub. Officials that participated in the games from Palau Basketball Referee Association are Jubilee Kuartei, Myers Techitong and Edson Chiokai.

Athletes Commission
The athletes of the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympic
Games are working together to set up the Palau Athletes Commission. The Young athletes are very excited about this work and coordinating closely with the Palau NOC on strategies and programs for the Athletes Commission of Palau.
