GBA MAKES SEASON DEBUT SATURDAY
Guam’s premier basketball league, the Guam Basketball Association (GBA), tipped off their first season Saturday evening with a triple-header of games featuring all six teams of the league.
Once again GBC will be assisting in the upcoming VISION YOUTH CLUB 3x3. All rules and regulations will be FIBA 3x3.
Guam basketball recently held their Officers' Elections on Saturday, March 31, 2012.

(Mangilao, GUAM) – Monday, January 9th, 2012 – Newly appointed Men and Women’s National Basketball Team Head Coaches, EJ Calvo and Tony Thompson, are wasting no time getting started with an Open Training Camp for the Men and Women’s Basketball Program starting on Thursday, January 12th, to be held at the FD Phoenix Center in Mangilao at 7pm.
Effective immediately, the new Head Coach of the Guam Men’s National Basketball Team will be former Guam National player, EJ Calvo, while overall Director of Basketball Operations, Tony Thompson, retains coaching duties for the women’s program, as well as overall management of coaching assignments and strategic planning for the program

Congratulations to the Guam Basketball Confederation, who was the only Oceania Federation to send a men's and women's team to the inaugural FIBA 3x3 Youth Championships in Italy in September. 36 boys and 24 girls teams from 40 countries across the world participated in the Championships, which included individual skills challenges as well as team competitions. Guam's Jarred Meno took the silver medal in the shoot out competition. The New Zealand men won the World title, with a one point win over Bulgaria, while Australia's women's team finished in 5th place. Guam was represented by Valian Borja, Michal Sakazaki, Jarred Meno, John Ilao, Kali Benevente, Kristin Oberiano, Samantha Frais and Gemilie Llao.
