AFL School Program Overview

The AFL has a number of options and resources that teachers can have access too.

School Clinics

AFL NSW/ACT are available to conduct school based programs in schools

  • 3 Week programs available to schools
  • Available for all students in schools
  • Free of charge to schools
  • Run and delivered but trained AFL NSW/ACT development officers






Lesson Plans

 AFL NSW/ACT continually want to work on ways to assist teachers in the delivery of AFL programs in Schools. There have been some resources developed that work with the Australian Curriculum to assist with this. 

There are session plans that have linked with outcomes that will help any teacher. The session plans cover kicking, marking, handball and general skills of AFL but translate into the key fundamental movement skills.

 School Ambassador Program

The AFL School Ambassador (AFLSA) program aims to resource, recognise, motivate and reward teachers who strongly promote the game of Australian football in their school and their community.
Any teacher is eligible to join the program
