The Saints

The Saints Junior Basketball Club, Incorporated is affectionately known as “The Saints”.  

Our club initially started in Melton as “one” team in 2006 as a result of the initiation of one teacher at the St Catherine’s Primary School hence the name “Saints”.

Since that time, the Club has grown and now houses 17 teams from 8 and Unders to Under 18′s. Our young teams (8′s & 10′s) play in a mixed competition with our under 12 and up teams comprising of either boys or girls teams.

In November 2014, Saints unanimously voted to change its name to Saints Junior Basketball Club.

All Saints coaching staff are required to have a “Working With Children’s” accreditation. A strong ethical code is instilled in all our volunteers ensuring your children are kept within a safe, enjoyable environment.

The Panthers

Panthers Basketball Club, Incorporated has experienced significant growth over the past few years and is now home to 31 domestic basketball teams in almost all age groups in both junior and senior competitions.

Our philosophy is simple, fun first! We know that if our players are having fun and are being given a fair go, their development will follow.

We may not all be experts about the game of basketball but we have created a close basketball community where we all help out when we can in any way we can and we all get a fair go! It's grass roots sport at its best!
