Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Basketball Association is an endorsed basketball provider with Sporting Schools and can support your sporting programs with our expert coaches coming to your school to conduct in-school basketball clinics.
All you need is a basketball court or alternative hard surface area.
Typically in-school clinic sizes are 25 to 30 students per clinic, and range from 40 to 60 minutes in length. We look to allocate two coaches per clinic for children to receive appropriate instruction and maximise participation in each session.
How we schedule clinics for your students
Tell us what you need and/or provide us with your daily class schedule and we can tailor clinics to fit both your schedule and grant allocation. We can do it all - one or two full days of clinics each week or two or three clinics one morning or afternoon per week for the school term.
Expert coaching provided
All of our coaches are very experienced (coach numerous school clinics, in stadium weekly skills classes, holiday camps and play/coach representative basketball); are accredited (possess “NCAS Club coach accreditation); have passed all WWC requirements and have been “screened” with the DET.
To help you plan (considerations)
- What weekday/s would work best for you
- What date are you looking to start
- How may weeks would you like to run
- How many minutes would you like each clinic to run
- In the event of rain/unsafe court are undercover area/s available (or are clinics cancelled)
- Do you have basketballs/cones etc for use or would you like us to bring these
Our clinics are fun and action packed, with maximum participation and engagement provided for students. Clinic content is based on Aussie Hoops games, drills and skills (Basketball Australia National Schools Program).
