Port Phillip Basketball association (PPBA) is a volunteer run organisation that runs a Saturday Afternoon  Baskteball Competition for Primary and Secondary School boys and girls.

The competition is  held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Saturday Afternoon 12.00- 6.00pm. Younger teams and the Development Programs of Hoopsters and Dribble Pass ‘n’ Shoot generally play earleir in the day. No games are held on school holidays.

The competion consists of of over 100 teams with 800 players regularly playing on Saturday afternoon.

Teams are primarily from the City of Port Phillip and many of the teams develop from  the local primary schools and Community Groups but we also have teams that travel some distance to be a part of the PPBA Saturday  Basketball Competition

PPBA feel strongly about providing an opportunity for all participants to be exposed to core values such as team work, leadership, commitment, confidence, sportsmanship, respect, healthy choices and most importantly developing friendships for life. We are made up of families who want to support their children.
