Team Cook Islands lead after round 3
After some spectacular golf, Team Cook Islands men pulled out all the stops with Kirk Tuaiti scoring a 5 under par 65, and Sonny Karati scoring a 4 under 66 to tentatively lead the mens team event. Hot on their heels are Team Samoa, just 8 strokes behind.
Team Cook Islands ladies have a firm lead of 19 strokes over their sisters from Tahiti.

Rounds 2 & 3 completed
Day 3 of competition started bright and early for all players and caddies. After yesterdays cancellation of play, everyone was eager to get under way.

Play abandoned
After much deliberation, play for day two has been abandoned. Games organised have deemed the course too dangerous due to the continuous lightning and thunder.
2nd day of competition is to resume at 7.30am tomorrow for all with a shot-gun start. Another shot-gun start for all at 12.30pm will count as round 3.
All teams are urged to be well rested for tomorrows 36 holes..weather permitting!

Day Two - Play Suspended
Due to heavy rain and thunder, play for the 2nd day of competition was suspended as of 9.20am.
Golf officials will have a decision on todays play once the situation has been determined

Teams who were scheduled to play golf from 8am this morning, were warm and dry in the clubhouse waiting for a break in the weather.

Day One of Competiton
Niue, Cook Islands, Fiji & New Caledonia led the way for the Pacific Mini Games 2009. Play progressed slow and steady as players found their feet in ideal conditions on a course that has not played this well for a while. Top scores for the day, 4 under par, 66 by Vikrant Chandra from Fiji and 1 under par, 69 by Charlotte Navarro from New Caledonia. Hot on her heels is Elmay Viking (CI) with a 70.
