Interviews with Chefs De Mission
You might be wondering why we are writing about chefs well in French Chef De Mission means team leader.
6am, pitch black and the s2r reporters are up and raring to go. As the hours count down to the beginning of the games the chef de missions meet for an early morning briefing at the BCI Stadium and S2R were lucky to get the opportunity to go to this briefing. We learnt about the difficulties that the chef de missions go through.
In this exciting briefing there were many discussions about the issues that are a main concern for the safety of there athletes. For example timing the timing had to be the exact minuet to make sure their athletes are safe and are treated correctly. The interviews we secured are three chef de missions from different countries and some of the games organisers, along with footage from the opening ceremony.
