Hey Ballers!

The inaugural Douglas Heat adults basketball competition of 2015 was a fantastic success, with Myths and Legends winning back-to-back championships - against Teaser's Terrors in season 1, and Reece Rockets in season 2. 

We had an excellent turn-out with around 50 players registered in five teams on Wednesday nights, with men and women alike mixing it in an exciting level of competition.

Congratulations to season 2 MVP, Lukas Teasdale, on an outstanding season, with runner up Jonny Noble - both players played with The Saints in season 2. Well done to all players who turned out this year, and a special thanks to our referees and scorers who volunteered their time each week.

This year, we have taken our adults comps to a new level! 

New faces have arrived at Douglas Heat and the men's comp has exploded into a highly competitive affair. We have also fully automated our website with player stats, a live ladder and full results board on each round of our Autumn Men's Season. See the fixtures/results tab above.

We have also run a series of free "come and try" sessions for women in term 1 of 2016 with a good turn out on Thursday nights.

We are hopeful of establishing a women's comp in term 2, but need numbers and players to register to make it happen. If you are interested in entering a team, please email douglasheatbasketballclub@hotmail.com with your intent to register,or follow us on Facebook for all the updates.
