CAROLINE Springs are now a game clear in fourth position thanks to a 41-point win over Craigieburn on Sunday.
Caroline Springs’ defensive pressure was superb, they kept the Eagles goalless for the entire match.
However, it wasn’t all about their defence, their attack was also just as impressive.
Caitlin Pretty booted five goals, while Emma Payne kicked the Lakers’ only other goal.
Caroline Springs will now have the bye, it will be a chance for them to freshen up before their final two games of the regular season.
In other games, Tarneit was no match for Glenroy, the Titans lost by 42-points.
Tarneit scored just three points for the match, while Glenroy kicked six goals and had 12 more shots on goal.
Glenroy are now in fifth place on the Senior Women’s ladder and are even on points with Pascoe Vale and Craigieburn.
The Titans will be hoping to bounce back this weekend when they host Glen Orden on Sunday.
The Kangaroos will look to make it three from three when they travel to Clarke Oval to take on Sunbury.
Meanwhile, ladder-leaders Keilor scored another impressive victory. This time they defeated the third-placed Sunbury by 137-points.
Keilor came out firing, kicking eight goals in the first quarter to have a 51-point lead at quarter time.
It was one way traffic for the rest of the match, with Sunbury’s first and only score coming in the final term.
The final score was 20.18. (138) to 0.1. (1).
The Blues had 10 different goal kickers. Jess Atta led the charge, she finished the game with four goals next to her name.
