A Tegan Riding hat trick has sealed a comfortable 5-1 win for Eastern Suburbs Women against Western Pride FC at Heath Park on Saturday night.
Both sides failed to capitalise on chances in the first half of this clash before a six-goal last forty five saw Easts run away with the game.
Tegan Riding kicked off the scoring for the home side in the fifty second minute, gifted by a parried penalty save from Veeran, before clutching onto a precise diagonal ball from Tiffany Roberts to make it 2-0 in the sixty fifth.
Mackenzie McAvoy pulled one back for the Pride shortly after, but Easts in the end proved too strong for the visitors.
Riding’s third and Gibson’s injury time finish putting the result beyond doubt for Easts—who still remain in the title race as they make the trip down to Palm Beach next week.
Pride will take some positives out of the clash, but are still searching for their first win.
