Nikki Perrett of the Penrith Ramettes has claimed her first Women’s Division Two Best and Fairest at the Phelan Medal awards night last Monday.
Perrett polled an impressive 30 votes to finish 8 votes ahead of Auburn’s Lael Kassem with Manly Warringah’s Rachel Lewis finishing third on 18 votes.
Perrett polled in 11 matches including receiving maximum votes in rounds 1, 2, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16. She polled votes consistently throughout the season, polling eleven votes between round 8 and 11 as well as polling nine votes between rounds 14 and 16.
Runner-Up Kassem was also outstanding polling in nine games and storming home claiming ten votes in the final four games of the season. This is the second year in a row that Kassem has finished Runner-Up.
For Perrett, its been a great year including selection in the Women’s Team of the Year and being a part of the Women’s representative team.
