The Braybrook Sporting Club are sadden by the passing of Jack Arnell who became President of the Braybrook Football Club in '1969-1974 and in 1976.
During his time as President, Jack's influence helped form a very strong Committee assisted by his brother Gordon and Secretary George Dyson.
When Senior coach Barry Thorthon stood down, Jack was able to obtain the services of former Carlton player John Lloyd and Barry Taylor for the Reserves.
This union saw a new era for Braybrook, winning 10 Senior and Junior Premierships and 11 District Senior and Junior Best and Fairests.
Jack was very popular and well respected by players and members in the '70's.
He won the FDFL Administrator of the Year award, served on the FDFL Committee and also served the local community on the Sunshine City Council and as a Justice of the Peace at the Sunshine Courts.
Around Braybrook Jack will always be remembered as a great President and a good friend to all and above all, a true club man.
Our thoughts are with Jack's family during this sad time.
