The Werribee Football Club continues its commitment to the City of Wyndham sporting community by offering the services of its players to local clubs.
Recently a group of 36 players from the Tigers spread themselves across the City of Wyndham clubs visiting seven WRFL Clubs to assist with training. The players took part in general training and skills session before talking to the junior players about football, diet and taking the next step.
The Werribee Football Club is generous in the time and resources it offers the football clubs of the City of Wyndham. These benefits include the previously mentioned player visit as well as the Coach the Coaches program, where members of the Werribee Coaching Staff spend time with local coaches, to exchange ideas and strategies on the game and football in general.
Werribee also offers access to the Morris Barlow Squad for Under 18 players who are searching for the next pathway in their football career after being overlooked for the TAC Cup.
The Club gives free family memberships for all junior players at clubs in the City of Wyndham and offers the senior club a signed jumper from their AFL affiliate club, North Melbourne, to raffle or auction off plus a table for 10 at the President’s Lunch at a Werribee home game at Avalon Airport Oval.
The Werribee Football Club currently has a number of players that have come through the WRFL- Majak Daw, Scott Sherlock, Ashlin Brown, Jarrod Mather, Lachlan Fairley, James Taylor, Jason Robinson, Ben Stretton, Keenan O’Shea, Harrison King, Abdul Jawad and Dylan Jones.
The Werribee Football Club is committed to making football a fun, accessible, desirable and attainable pursuit for both the players and spectators at every level of the game.
