Roos 8.9.57 defeat Gargs 8.6.54
Both teams were looking to get back into the win column, and the conditions did not make things any easier. The Roos took an early lead, kicking the first three goals but the Gargoyles responded and kicked 3.1 to lead at quarter time. After that both teams dug their heels in and went blow-for-blow with each other. Any time one team got some momentum, it did not last long.
This hard-nosed, never quit attitude from both teams led to a thrilling match. The game was tied at 33 at halftime, and then still tied at 48 at 3/4 time. The Roos kicked a goal early in the 4th quarter, but the Gargoyles responded almost immediately. In the end, Etobicoke applied just a bit more pressure than Grand River and kicked three more behinds, giving them the victory 57-54.
