This first of 2 OAFL footy clinics was held today at the Downsview Hanger in Toronto, and run by Hamilton Wildcats Club President Tim "Bulldog" Wilson. Bulldog took an excited group of 16-18yr old players who come on late in the 2010 season, as well as several players totally new to the sport and put them through the motions; teaching kicking, marking, handballing, as well as a fun scratch match to finish the session. New Wildcat recruit Gary Hesmer, and young rookie Jeremy Taylor (who played the final 2 games of the 2010 due to joining the Club late) were the 'Catters representatives, as many players & Clubs (including the Hamilton Wildcats) around the league are hitting the ground running with their winter training sessions.
The 2nd and Final Winter Training session hosted by the OAFL will be held next Saturday, Nov 27th/10 also as the Downsview Hanger. We look forward to having another good handful of new recruits out to have a kick and learn about this incredible game, as well as seeing any of our Club veterans available to help out lending a hand in the clinic. The more, the merrier!!!
Just a quick reminder that the Hamilton Wildcats AFC will be holding our own indoor training session (the first a many this off-season), starting next Saturday, Dec 4th at Wentworth Arenas (aka - "Triple Rinks") starting 2pm. PLEASE make sure that anyone planning on attending our Wildcat Open Training Session arrives by 1:30pm and is dressed and ready to have a run by 1:45pm SHARP!!!
