At the Wildcats first annual Jumper presentation / Recruitment Social the 'Catters were proud to announce...
For 2010, Brett Hill had been elected by the coaching board to lead the club for his first time this year. Brett Hill, AKA Hilly, has played close to 80 games for the club, and is a true leader both on and off the field and is a guy both Canadian and Australians can look up to in regards to how to play the game of footy. Well done Hilly, best of luck!
Coming into his fourth season, Justin Settle has been named the clubs Vice Captain for 2010. Playing almost every game in his tenure with the 'Cats in the past 3 years, being named in the 2009 OAFL team of the year, he has now elevated himself to not only Vice Captain of the Wildcats, but has now begun training with the Northwind squad and will arguably be a sure starter in the side. A true asset to the club and we look forward to seeing what he can produce in 2010.
Lastly, Justin Johns after some once again good vacation time in Florida and Australia has agreed to once again coach the side as he did in 2007-08. He had 2 very mixed seasons back then, but the club executive is confident that with the playing list he has he should take the club to nothing short of the final 6 this year.
Congrats to all! A truly strong leadership group.
