Once again the Reserves had up to 8 changes with 2 going into the A Grade team and others away either injured r at work. But for all that this was a team that while beaten on the scoreboard never gave in and had their opponents whining about the hard tackles in right up to the final siren. They never give less than 100% and this is exemplified by the Captain Jarad Marsh who again put in a huge effort, reveling as the spare man in defence. He was well supported by Aaron Burnett in a new role on the ball, also be Matty Ruthven in the ruck for the first time this year, Nathan Borosak, Steve Smith and Ethan Smyth all did well.
Duncan fell was playing his 100th games for the Reserves had a difficult job at full back on a very good player but stuck to his task and gave his all as always for the Tigers. Well done Duncan, you join a pretty small group of payers who have achieved 100 games in Reserves over the past two decades.
If only we could extend the competitive 10 minutes per quarter to the full 20 and also capitalise on the entries we do make to the forward 50m then the results could be very different for the Reserves.
