Todays game against North Ringwood was important to consolidate our position in the top 4. To their credit North Ringwood provided us with a tough match, just what we needed in the lead-up to this weeks encounter with Bayswater.
Early in the first quarter we were playing like a team destined to be a major threat in the finals.
Four goals to Swooper in the first 14 minutes then a goal to Macca a minute later set the standard for the remainder of the game.
The second quarter continued this standard, with an early goal to "The Axe" followed by another to Bozza gave the Blues a comfortable leads halfway through the second term. Mitch chipped in with another at the 13th minute mark and another by Taso a minute later gave us a 9 goal lead at halftime.
North Ringwood came out after the break a different side. We were not prepared to be first to the ball or put our bodies on the line. Our backline was exposed as North dominated the quarter. North Ringwood controlled the centre clearances and the coaching staff were forced to make several changes to final the right combination in the centre. We were not prepared to run and looked happy with a 7 goal lead. A late goal by Swooper at the 19th minute mark was the only highlight for the quarter.
The boys looked better in the last quarter, with two early goals, JJ in the 2nd minute and Bozza in the 4th minute. 100 gamer Milo found a bit extra in the last quarter and was prepared to run and created several opportunities for the forwards. Swooper kicked his 6th for the game at the 15th minute mark and Sugar a late goal at the 18th minute mark saw the Blues run out comfortable winners.
The disappointing aspect with the day was not singing the song on Milo's 100th and Kouta's 50th, lets make up for it this week with a big win against Bayswater.
