The Wildcats kicked off the season with some pre-season games last weekend, which showcased all the new and returning talent to the 2015 Wildcats roster.
The Men's side made the trip to Guelph and they did not disappoint. Though no official scores were kept the Wildcats dominated the clearances and scoring opportunities to lead at every exchange. The hallmarks of Wildcats Football was evident with strong contested plays and fluid ball movement at times across the midfield. Highlights of the day were no doubt the first and second year players and how well they performed under competition.
The Wildcat women, along with Coach Nick Dirago, made the road trip down to Ottawa to compete against teams from Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and New York. The women won game one, tied game two and lost game three and four of the day. The women finished off the tournament with a celebration with all the other teams at a local pub. Jackie and Danielle received a special mention for the Best on Ground of the tournament. Great job to all ladies who made the trip down to Montreal, but especially the rookies who did a phenomenal job taking the field for the first time.
