Fielding perhaps their strongest side in quite some time the Tigers were confident of a huge showing against the Demons on Sat at Everton. Even with intermittent showers throughout the afternoon it appeared as though the conditions might favour the home side.
From the start the game was one giant arm wrestle with both sides cracking in at the contest and nothing more than 2 goals seperating the lineups all day. Housego was enormous in the ruck and again showed why his Testimonial Dinner on Wed night will be a popular event. Nic Aldridge was a welcome return to the side and enjoyed the wet track but the same could not be said about a number of team mates who struggled underfoot.
Despite copping a red and yellow card the Demons were still coming at the Tigers with 5 minutes on the clock and kicked the last 3 goals of the game to destroy the home side. Mayne appeared to be out on their feet and didn't respond with the coaching panel unable to find a winning combination in the midfield.
This week it is the toughest road trip in the competition with Noosa at Noosa.
