In almost a mirror image of the first game against Grange this season the Tigers let slip a final quarter lead to go down by a goal. In a sometimes brutal game of contested footy the Grange came up with the clutch plays at the business end of the match to prevail. Right up until the final siren Andrew Housego had marshalled the backline troops superbly up one end with Caleb Brown doing likewise at the other. Tom Falconer in the middle also played his part and provided wonderful leadership and dash through the midfield. Despite sneaking out to a 26 point lead in the 3rd quarter the Gorillas were never out of the contest and through the agency of some of their experienced players managed to kick clear in the dying moments. The challenge for the Tigers in the remaining games this season is to find a way within themselves on how to stand up and be counted when the stakes are high late in a match. Nevertheless the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the side on the weekend will put the Tigers in a winning position more often that not. Mayne play Maroochydore this Sat at home.
