Round #2: HAMILTON WILDCATS (1-1) v CENTRAL BLUES (1-1)
Venue: Mohawk Sports Park, Hamilton, ON.

2010 OAFL Record: Hamilton Wildcats (4-9), Central Blues (12-2) - Blues won season series (2-0).
Key Players: Hamilton - rookies Brendan Major (5 goals this season), the Big Red Machine Stephen "Banga" Dostal, rover Brett Aiken (and former Bentleigh teammate of Blues' Daniel Wills), CHB Justin Settle, and rookie Drew Dupras playing his 1st game of the season. Central - Rover Kien La, Ruckman Jacob Sone, new Aussie recruit Daniel Wills & backmen Steve Rutlidge, Dan Zimmerman and Bruce Parker.
HAMILTON Strengths: A much more professional approach to each game thanks to new Head Coach Matt Lowry, as well as a great on-field leadership team, with Captain Brett "Nuts" Aiken taking charge in the guts and Vice Captain Justin Settle holding down the fort in the Wildcats backline. Having strong on-field voices to teach our rookies and 2nd year players has been key, especially since these new players will lead the Club into the future. Good overall team speed and height will help the Wildcats win many of the one-on-one battles around the ground, and strong marks in the forward line will always keep the 'Cats in the game, as long as their kicking stays straight. The 2011 Wildcats have the offensive potential to crack the century mark each Round, and with a very talented backline, have the ability to make it hard on their opponents to run away with the game.
BLUES Strengths: Well, what else can you say about the defending 2010 OAFL Champions that they haven't already proven. Fantastic speed in the guts, led by talented veteran players Kien La (Northwind member) & Jacob Sone (Northwind member), will only be complimented by Aussie addition Daniel Wills. Good height down the spine of the oval and a very tough backline will make it hard for any team to score. The Blues have produced several impressive Canadian players over the past few seasons, and it will be up to the Wildcats to ensure that these improving players dont make too much of an impact when they face off this weekend. Overall, I think that the Hamilton backline match-up very well against the Blues forwards, where as the Blues will have the advantage across the middle of the ground. I feels as if this game will come down to which team can create more space in the forward line and kick straighter on the day, as it should be a very tight scoring tilt.
Round #3 Prediction: Hamilton Wildcats def. Blues 73-60
C'arn the WILDCATS!!!
