Competition Notes
SUBJECT:GAME DAY POLICY Junior
TEAM NUMBERS
All games must be played with equal numbers on the field.
EQUAL NUMBERS POLICY
Both teams must start the game with equal numbers on the field.
The team with fewer numbers is to inform the umpire / and the opposition team manager prior to commencement of play.
If a player is injured and is forced from the ground the opposition is to still have equal numbers on the field.
The team who loses a player through injury is to advise the umpire / opposition of the occurrence via the team runner.
If a team has a player sent off by the umpire and does not have a replacement, then they will play short for the duration of the send off period.
Clubs found not abiding by this by-law shall be penalised a substantial fine.Fine $500.00
UNIFORMS
In the event of a clash of colours, all Clubs are to wear their approved Guernsey and shorts when designated as the Home team and an alternate coloured Guernsey and shorts, as agreed by STJFL, when designated as the Away team, (*unless otherwise determined)
*Brighton club must wear alternative strip when playing against North Hobart.
Players may not wear a glove or gloves in STJFL competition matches unless permission to do so for medical reasons is provided to the STJFL.
Bike shorts / skins worn under shorts must be flesh coloured. (not black, white, red, blue etc.)
RUNNERS, TRAINERS, UMPIRES & TEAM OFFICIALS
i.All team runners must wear STJFL approved Shirts.Only ONE runner per team
ii.Trainers should be dressed in appropriate tops and should be instructed to return immediately to the boundary after attending players.
iii.Club umpires Field & Goal must wear approved STJFL apparel
Goal: Orange jacket or orange vest
Field: Orange polo shirt, orange vest or polo shirt (light green)
(light green) inexperienced or non accredited Umpire
iv.Coaches, # Team Managers shall be appropriately identifiable as approved by the STJFL.
Appropriate club identified top, armband or name tag.Club responsibility.
Penalty for breach of rule; as per below
TIMEKEEPING
Clubs, teams are to appoint their own Timekeepers.
It is the responsibility of the visiting team to have a time keeper sit / stand with the home club time keeper.
Suitable siren / hooter required.
Timing is as follows:
U9 & U104 x 12 minute quarters
Breaks:
¼ time5 minutes maximum
½ time5 minutes maximum
¾ time5 minutes maximum
In the event of injury or undue delay time lost cannot be made up, as the start of the next scheduled game must commence on allocated time so as to allow all games at that venue that day to be kept to time.
