Barrengarry 2024 - Youth Men
Competition Notes
All teams will play each other at least once.
At the conclusion of rounds, teams will be split into two divisions.
Finals will be conducted in each division as follows:
1v4, 2v3, 6v7 in semi finals, with the winners of top 4 teams meeting each other in the grand final. The winner of 6v7 plays 5 in the grand final for Division B.
On the ladder this will appear as:
Division A: 1v4, 2v3
Division B: 5 to Final, 6v7
However, where teams finish on the same points this may differ. The division splits are decided on ladder positions. In the event that two or more teams finish on the same number of competition points, then an analysis of the performance between the teams on those same points has taken place. The team with the greatest number of points for, minus points against in match ups between the teams involved only, will place ahead of the other team in final placings. In the event that both teams end up on the same number of points difference (as occurred in the U12 Boys Division A placings), a coin toss has determined the final placings.
Because of this complex formula, some difference between a team in 5th making it into Division A instead of a team on the same number of points in 4th on the published ladder, may occur. The Game Day preferences don't account for the specific for and against between specific teams.
