The ref would not allow the sliding tackle. One of our players put in a text book slide and the ref blew a free kick against her for sliding. I wouldn't have thought that referee could alter the rules of the game like that. I think if players are prepared to slide they should be prepared to collect yellow or red if the slide is performed badly or with malicious intent.
