Official Match Report

I pointed out to Dianella Coach & Manager that their match card did not have player numbers and that this was a requirement. The manager assured me she would rectify this when she got home but I note that at the time of this report 8.30pm this has not yet been completed. The Manager stated they never fill in numbers. This from an official respective is unacceptable.

At the start of the match, before kickoff, I gathered all players and went through the expectations and emphasized, zero tolerance to swearing and racial slurs.
At the 19th Minute I issued a yellow card to No 11 of Dianella for a late trip on a player well after the ball was passed. I did not have names to numbers.

During the match I sent Dianella No 19 to the sin bin for 10 mins for swearing in the 28th min of the first half. In the second half I showed Dianella No 9 a Yellow card for swearing (That fucking sucks) and sent him to the sin bin for 10 min. It was after the 2nd goal by Subiaco and we were both standing at the half way getting ready to restart the match. He then said You have to be fucking joking, what for? I told him he was swearing and he was off for 10 mins. As he turned to walk off he said Your a fucking idiot Ref so I showed him a red card and told him he was off for the match and on report.

At the end of the match the coached approached me and asked why I had sent his player off. I told him the situation, as above, and he said they are just 16 yr old boys Ref I told him I had warned ALL players together at the start of the match there is zero tolerance to swearing and racial slurs and they would be sent to the sin bin, no warning, if I heard them. The coach stated again they are just kids at 16, so I stated then we should just tolerate it and walked away. During the match I also warning No 6 & No 11 for swearing on the pitch but did this on the fly and let play continue. There seems to a an ingrain tolerance for swearing in this team by some of its players which seems to be condoned by the Coach. As I was collecting my stuff on the sidelines I heard the players swearing several times during their debrief and not once did the parents of coach pull them up.

I am unable to complete my report accurately as I only had numbers not player names something FW should follow up and record and deal with the No 9 for swearing twice then again at myself as an official, when he was off to the sin bin on the side.
