Official Match Report

The referee allowed the game to go beyond the 90min mark and it was in the 92nd minute that he awarded a penalty to Manningham. The ball had gone out of play 4 times after fulltime. Both coaches were calling out to the ref that time had elapsed and to end the game. Both coaches agreed after the match that they could not understand how he had let the game continue. When asked after the game why he had played extra the referee said it was for time wasting by Manningham, (which he never pulled them up for during the game). When it was pointed out that this comp is a timed game and there is no extra time he responded saying we had his reason and that was it. It was left at that.
When checking these scores the goal was entered as being in the 90min and as a 'normal' goal and not a penalty.
