U'17s
It was a tough game for the 17's this week. Last year's premiers and they
still have 4 or 5 girls from that team playing for them. Most of our team is
bottom age and U'15s and considering that in that respect we did very well.
Our defensive end had the Tooradin goalers under pressure but they had has
the pressure on us over the court and in our goal ring. I'm very proud of
the Meadows girls they continue to give their all to the very end and we
have lots and lots of areas to improve. we will only get better from here.

C Grade:
Playing at Tooradin on Saturday the C Grade girls put in 98% with their
normal fun and laughter. Our two defenders Stacey S and Shelly took it to
the Tooradin Goalers, taking some great rebounds and intercepts. Although we
were not winning the girls never dropped there heads and fought the game out
well. With Caz bring it, she was "BOC" and well deserved. Thanks to Tooradin
for a great game.

This week the girls stepped up to last year's premiership team and wow did
we put it to them the score line just does not show how good you girls
went!!!! Thanks to the amazing work from the defensive end throughout the
first 3 quarters we had the ball down our end more then our opponents,
unfortunately not converting that to goals. As a player said to me on
Saturday, "With some time all together and experience as one, we will have
no hesitation and will be as one!" It is true and when that time comes WOW
will we be a force to be reckoned with. You all played so well and I am
proud of you! BOC Stacey Wightley.

What a game it was the fast and the furious of Netball. The team this week
really showed how much improvement there has been at the meadows. Six goals
up in the first quarter and playing like the Vixens we were switched on and
going for it, a change in the Tooradin team at quarter time and a little
more physical pressure from them during the second quarter 5 goals up at
half time. Another change for Tooradin in third quarter and a lot more
pressure from them and the cracks started to show. Our goalers lost there
running and their flow started to miss goals that were a lay down miser in
the first half and we were only two goals up at third quarter. I was still
confident that if we could score the first goal or two in the last quarter
we could pull it off. It was to be the relentless pressure from Tooradin was
too much for us and with them scoring the first four goals of the quarter we
were done. It was a great game. Plenty of things for us to work on in the
coming weeks. We aren't done with yet. We will come back stronger. BOC Tam
