Players Information 2015

Players INFORMATION SHEET

It is a requirement of Football Queensland that all players are registered. If you have not already done this please contact your registrars - SSF - Tanya Albion or Competitive - Shirley Toffoli.

All players, spectators and officials are reminded to read the CODE OF BEHAVIOUR and abide by them. There are correct ways to go about any on-field questionable decisions that may arise.

Players wanting to pay fees should contact Kylee Gerrard. All outstanding fees should be paid by MARCH PAST or the player cannot take the field until Fees are paid. Playing unregistered/unfinancial players may result in your team being disqualified or losing points.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month throughout the season at the Football Gympie clubhouse from 6:30pm. Coaches, Managers and Parent Reps from each team are invited to attend.

Training

Training is held on Thursday afternoons.

Parents/carers please be punctual in dropping off/picking up children. It is most important that all minors (under 18 year olds) placed in the care of coaches, turn up to training and advise their respective coaches of their regular post-training pick-up arrangements. If an occurrence arises as to bring into question the immediate safety of any player awaiting collection by parent or carer - due to an irregularity in the normal pick-up arrangements - then we ask, to the best of their ability, the coach and/or manager to stay with the player until they are safely discharged. This is a huge ask of our coaching resources, so we ask that all players be picked up promptly after training and that suitable arrangements be made to advise coaches of any digression from the norm.

The onus is on the player to advise their coach of their non-attendance for training and for game days. It is very important to develop this healthy line of communication so that all players and coaches can plan ahead for any gaps that present in the line-up, and to assist all coaches to fulfil the duty of care towards their players.

Please ask your children to stay with the coach/manager until collected.

Shin pads MUST be worn at both training and games

Game Day

Small Sided Games are non-competitive and should be fun for players and spectators.

Players will be assigned the same jersey each week to enable the manager to keep track of strips. This system makes the player/parent of player responsible for their jersey. When 1 jersey is lost, the whole strip is no longer usable. Players are NOT to wear jerseys home – they are to be taken off straight after game.

Many coaches/managers make up a washing roster for the strips each week. Please do not dry strips in a clothes drier. Please return the jerseys to training on Thursday. The coach/manager is then responsible for ensuring the jerseys are there on game day.

It is the responsibility of the first teams to use a field to put the nets and corner flags in position and the last team to use them to take them down. If your team is playing the first games or last game on game day please assist the team by helping with these duties.

Players are encouraged to use their own water bottle. Players are advised to have adequate fluids and apply sunscreen prior to games.

FINALLY, REMEMBER ALL COACHES, MANAGERS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS & FOOTBALL GYMPIE ORGANISERS ARE VOLUNTEERS!

Good Luck, Play Fair and Enjoy the Season

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
