Three RAMS sides qualify for 2015 Finals

Under 15s, Under 17s and First Grade through to FINALS

The fight for finals football went right to the last round this year, but having played a double header on the last weekend of the regular season, its hard to say that all Three finals bound Rams squads haven't derserved it.

Having all secured a spot in the finals by the conclusion of round 16, the Under 17s, Under 15s and First Grade squads began to focus on maximising their position.

Starting with the Under 15s, who somehow managed not to budge from 4th position all the way from Round 4 to Round 18. Consistency was clearly evident, but unfortunately their season was summed up by their failed attempts to break into the top 3 at the end of the season. The top sides constantly caused the Rams trouble, but the others did not, evident in 5-0, 6-2 and 3-0 drubbings of teams such as Central Coast and Illawarra. A luck lustre and disappointing set of results in rounds 15-17 did deny Rams a higher qualifying position, but their gutsy 3-3 draw against Sydney Uni on the final game day should give finals opponents Blacktown plenty to think about. Last Blacktown and Rams met, it was Macarthur that emerged victorious, so go get them Rams!

Golden Boot: Ashley Dribbus (10 goals)

Under 17s (Premiers)

Coached by Leah Blayley the Under 17s enjoyed one of their most successful campaigns to date, moving into the top as of round 1, and fluctuating between 1st and 2nd all the way till Round 12. It was at the last third that Rams cemented their claim on First Place, not shifting for the final 6 rounds of competition. So in one of the toughest divisons that saw 1st and 4th seperated by just 6 points, Rams have emerged as 2015 Premiers!

Qualifying First has meant that Rams play Second placed Manly in the 2nd Semi-Final for a place in the Championship deciding Finale, on Sunday 16th August @Sydney United Sports Centre, 11:45am.

The Golden boot was shared by three very talented junior athletes:

Danielle Bishop- 8 Goals (16 appearances)

Keely McBride- 8 Goals (18 appearances)

Summar Richardson- 8 Goals (17 appearances)

First Grade (Premiers)

After a steller season last year, the Rams again built a star-studded cast of experienced and exciting players, from the local area and abroad. The addition of Kylie Ledbrook again to Midfield was just one of several crucial factors that led to Macarthur's success this year, that also included leading goal scorers Kate Hensman and Georgia Yeoman-Dale (10 each)

After not dropping any points till Round 5 courtesy of a 3-3 Draw with Illawarra, Macarthur Rams raced to a 7 point advantage over their nearest rivals by round 12. Consistency was phenomenal, with their first 'technical' loss coming in round 7, which was followed somewhat aggressively by a 6 game winning streak that saw spectators stunned by 24 goals, an amazing average of 4 a game.

Norm Boardman was full of confidence with his side, and managed to utilise the talents of several -17s players including Eliza Ammendolia (10 appearances) and Daniela Brekic (4 appearances), which only served to deepen the chemistry of his skilled team.

Having held an advantage since the 4th round, Rams secured the Premiership after Sydney Uni failed to close the gap with 2 fixtures to be played. Well done to the coaches and players on your fantastic Back-to-Back Premiership success and the club looks forward to a result one better than last season- the elusive double, Premiership-Championship.

First Grade will play Blacktown Spartans, a side they have defeated twice this season, for a place in the Championship Finale, on 16th August @Sydney United Sports Centre 3:45pm.

Congratulations to all teams and from everyone at Rams, know you will be supported all the way in this year's Finals Series!

GO RAMS!!!
