Go Hoppers - Grand Finals Winter 2015

U18/20 C Grade - Giants (Premiers)

With five Grand Finals this season and two undefeated teams going through things look good for a successful week.

Tuesday night kicked off with our first Premiership

U18/20 C Grade - HC Giants 51 defeated Heathdale Hornets White 38. Well done boys, great shooting, strong defence and excellent composure set up a perfect win.

Saturday four finals and mixed results

U10 B Grade - Hoppers Giants were undefeated all season and were challeged by St Andrews right from the start. A great game by the boys to hold off the challenges and to win the premiership. HC Giants 13 defeated St Andrews Crocodiles 9.

U10 D Grade - Hoppers Titans also undfeated during the regular season finishing minor premiers. With a great challeger in St Andrews, our boys battled hard right to the end to go down by a single point. With St Andrews taking the lead in the last two minutes, our last chance was with 1.6 secs to go and Naddy was required to hit both foul shots to send the game into OT. The first dropped and the nerves and excitement was too much with the second falling just short. A great game and season boy the boys, as you are still winners. HC Titans 14 defeated by St Andrews Eagles 15.

U14 (Girls) C Grade - Hoppers Tigers can into this Grand Final to take on Good News Power Thunder after both team dominated the season and where 1 win each at the end of the regular season. What turn out to be the battle of the top two teams, was in fact just that until the last five minutes . GNP got the better of the girls today defeating Hoppers 26-35.

U16 D Grade - Hoppers Ballers came into this game as the under dogs. With Flames Trailblazers having the massive height advantage, we knew that we would have to dominate the scoring, while using our defensive pressure to cause the turn-overs. The first half was great as the scoreline was just 4 - 9 after a low scoring defensive game. We knew we were in with a chance. The second half started and the opposition took control with their height advantage. Our boys tried but the shots just didn't hit, with so many just missing. The end couldn't come quickly as it blew out to a 20 pt margin in the end. Well done Hoppers Ballers for making it this far but going done. Hoppers Ballers - Flames Trailblasers 12 - 32
