McCready returns to graasroots
On Monday 27 July 2015, two of our boy's teams had the pleasure of a special guess at their regular practice session at Suzanne Cory HS.
Our U14 A - Hoppers Tigers and U14 B - Hoppers Giants were lucky to have met a former Hoppers junior player on his break from the USA.
Shannon McCready played 366 junior games with Hoppers from 2001 to 2011; represented Werribee Devils in both juniors, Youth League and Big V State team (2014); NJCAA Sophomore and member of the Championship team at Garrett College, Maryland (2013/14); and NCAA Junior at Post University (Eagles), Connecticut (2014/15).
Shannon took some time to speak to the boys about his junior career and his experience getting to the USA to play college. He also took some time to show the boys a few drills and the expectations of a traditional College Practice session.
Once again it was great to see Shannon and the time he spent with the boys. Good Luck to Shannon on his return to the USA.
